How to Play Rush Hour: Under, Range, Over and Exact

Rush Hour is a prediction game, not a slot. This guide walks through one round from the timer to the payout. It shows how to read the boundary numbers and what each bet returns.

What you do in Rush Hour

You do not spin anything. You look at a live camera view of a road and two boundary numbers. You bet on how many vehicles an AI will count crossing a detection zone. Then you wait for the count.

The rules are short, so this page stays practical. For the verdict and scores, read the Rush Hour review. For the numbers behind the bets, see the RTP guide and the max win guide.

Before your first round

A few checks save trouble later. None of them takes long.

  • Know the game. There are no reels, paylines or symbols. The list of bets is the closest thing to a paytable.
  • Check the casino. It needs a license for your country. The provider, 155.io, is a supplier and holds no gaming license. See where to play for the checks.
  • Find the bet limits. Each casino sets its own minimum and maximum bet. We print none.
  • Read the rules screen. It shows the RTP, the max win and the bets at your casino. Take a minute to compare it with this page.
  • Set limits. Pick a deposit limit and a time limit before you start. Rounds are short, so spending adds up.

Also check your age and your country's rules. The minimum age is 18, 19 in Ontario and 21 where the law says so.

One round, step by step

A round lasts about 55 seconds, according to a catalog and two other sources. The press release says "under one minute". The provider's documents do not publish the length of each phase, so treat the timings as approximate.

  1. Betting phase. The game shows a live camera location, chosen by time of day and traffic. It also shows two boundary numbers. A timer runs, and you place your bets before it ends.
  2. Bets lock. When the timer ends, no bet can be added or changed. One affiliate guide says bets cannot be changed after you confirm. Check the buttons at your casino.
  3. Counting phase. An AI counts vehicles that cross a detection zone. The clip is fresh and never reused, taken in about the last minute. Brackets and a progress bar show the count as it grows.
  4. Count locked. The AI's final count is the one that matters, not what you counted by eye.
  5. Settlement. Winning bets are paid at once. The next round starts.

Live footage, committed seed. Press says the outcome is live and "not RNG". The provider documents say a seed, committed before the round, decides the winning market, and the boundaries are placed around the count after that. Nobody outside the studio has explained how the two fit. So we do not claim that real traffic alone decides the result.

How to read the boundary numbers

The two numbers split all possible counts into four zones. Call them the lower number and the upper number.

  • A count below the lower number is the Under zone.
  • A count strictly between the two numbers is the Range zone.
  • A count above the upper number is the Over zone.
  • A count equal to either number is the Exact zone.

Round example: boundaries 12 and 15

The screen shows 12 and 15. Under wins at 11 or fewer. Range wins at 13 or 14. Over wins at 16 or more. Exact wins at 12 or 15. Exact Low wins at 12 only, and Exact High wins at 15 only. The numbers here are made up. The rules come from the provider documentation.

Notice that the boundaries are different in each round. The zone widths change, so the same bet does not "look" the same twice. The multipliers do not change. That is the reason the chances are our derived figures, not printed ones: the docs show exact chances only in each round's reveal.

One more point. The count is the AI's, not the camera's. Vehicles that overlap or are partly hidden can be missed. This can help or hurt a bet such as Under. It is part of the rules, and it is stated in the docs.

The bets and what they return

Each bet pays a fixed multiple of your stake. A 3x multiplier means the game returns three times your bet in total, stake included. So a $1 bet returns $3, and the profit is $2.

Exact Highequal to the upper number36x$7.20$36.002.5%

Multipliers: provider documentation (docs.155.io), October 2026. "Implied chance" is our own arithmetic, the 90% base RTP divided by the multiplier. The provider does not publish these chances. Returns include the stake and ignore any Lightning boost. Check the paytable on your game screen: we have not seen it.

The four main bets, Under, Range, Over and Exact, cover every possible count. Their implied chances add up to 100%. Exact Low and Exact High are two halves of Exact, each paying double.

All bets have the same edge. Range wins most often and pays the least. Exact Low wins rarely and pays the most. There is no bet that is better value. Our tips page explains why.

Placing more than one bet

One affiliate guide says you can pick several bets in a round, and each settles on its own. The provider's documents do not state it in the pages we read. Check your bet panel.

If you do combine bets, the arithmetic is worth seeing once. Take $1 on each of the four main bets. Your total stake is $4.

  • If Under hits, you get $3 back. The round costs you $1.
  • If Range hits, you get $2.25. The round costs you $1.75.
  • If Over hits, you get $3.60. The round costs you $0.40.
  • If Exact hits, you get $18. The round returns $14 in profit.

Weighted by the implied chances, the average return is $3.60 on $4. That is 90%, the same as any single bet. Covering the board does not remove the edge. It only turns three of four outcomes into losses of different sizes.

Exact Low plus Exact High behaves like Exact. $1 on each is $2 staked. If one hits, you get $36 back, the same as $2 on Exact at 18x. The split only matters if you want to back one number.

Voids, refunds and disconnects

The provider documents list what happens when something goes wrong. We quote them, since support questions often come back to these points.

  • A round is voided and refunded after a stream failure, a confirmed AI malfunction or a processing delay.
  • Not grounds for a refund: lag, buffering or low video quality on your side.
  • After a disconnect, bets stay valid. The round settles as normal, and the result waits for you.
  • Auto-bet, where offered, stops on balance loss, disconnection or a page refresh. Whether it exists depends on the casino and your country.

Some reviewers report frozen feeds and uncounted vehicles. Those reports are anecdotes on a review site, and we cannot verify them. If a round looks wrong at your casino, keep a screenshot and contact support.

The game also has a fairness panel. The provider says a past round can be checked against its committed seed, with an open-source verifier. We have not tested it. See the RTP guide for what the panel can and cannot show.

Lightning Rounds and other extras

The provider names four extras: Lightning Rounds, streak multipliers, player levels and a daily check-in. Only the Lightning odds have numbers in the documents we read.

A Lightning Round is a random boost on one bet in a round. The odds are Common 1 in 3, Rare 1 in 60, Epic 1 in 400 and Legendary 1 in 1,000. A Legendary boost multiplies the winning bet by 5. The max win guide shows what that means in dollars.

We do not print numbers for streaks, levels or the daily check-in, because the docs do not give them. We also do not claim they help you win. Nothing you do triggers a boost.

The game has no bonus buy, no free spins and no jackpot in the documents. Casino promotions are a separate matter. See the free spins guide.

Learn the screen without risk

The easiest way to learn is a few rounds with play money. A demo shows the pace, the timer and the layout. It uses the same rules as real play, but it does not teach you to win, since no skill beats the count.

The provider runs a demo lobby for partners. Some casinos have a fun mode. Availability depends on the casino and your country. We have not found a public demo of our own to embed. See the demo guide for what to look for.

When you move to real money, start with the smallest stake the casino allows. Watch ten rounds before you decide whether the pace suits you.
