Rush Hour on Mobile: Browser or App?

Rush Hour is an HTML5 game that runs in a mobile browser. No official Rush Hour app is known. Play in the browser, and treat any file that calls itself the Rush Hour app with suspicion.

The short answer

There is no official Rush Hour app that we know of. The studio, 155.io, builds the game in HTML5. The press describes it as mobile-first. You open it from a casino's game list in your phone's browser, the same way as on a computer.

A casino may have its own app, and the game may sit inside it. That app belongs to the casino, not to the provider. The same holds for Snow Run and Duck River.

Playing in a mobile browser

Use an up-to-date browser. Turn the phone sideways if the game looks cramped. Keep the page open during a round. The game streams live video, so a weak connection can freeze the picture.

The rules about stream trouble are the same on a phone. Per the provider documentation, a round is voided and refunded after a stream failure or a confirmed AI malfunction. Lag, buffering and low video quality are not grounds. After a disconnect, your bets stay valid. See how to play.

Data and battery

Live video uses mobile data and battery. We have not measured how much. Use Wi-Fi where you can, and watch your data plan.

Casino apps

Some casinos publish an app or a home screen shortcut. It may add push messages, a fingerprint login or a faster lobby. It does not change the game's rules or the RTP. The bets, payouts and limits come from the game and from the casino.

  • Get the app only from the casino's own site or a store listing that the casino links.
  • Check that the publisher name in the store matches the casino company.
  • Check the casino license first. See how to check a license.
  • Read the permissions the app asks for. A casino app does not need your contacts or your messages.

An app can be a reason to play more, so use its limit tools. Set deposit and time limits in the first minute.

Fake APK files and "official apps"

Search results for "Rush Hour app" or "Rush Hour APK" include sites that offer a download. The provider offers none that we found. A file from one of these sites is not from 155.io.

Do not install an APK from a site you cannot identify. It can carry malware, steal your login or card details, or open a fake casino. Android asks you to allow installs from unknown sources. That is the step that lets such files in.

Signs of a fake

  • The page says "official" but names no company, no license and no contact.
  • The download is a file, not a store listing.
  • It promises a bonus, a "hack" or a "predictor" for the count. None of these exists. See myths and facts.
  • The site is a copy of the game name with "CCTV" and "rush" in the address. We do not link these sites.
  • It asks you to pay to unlock the app or your winnings.

If you installed one

Remove the app and change the passwords you used on that phone. Check your bank for charges. Tell your bank if you entered card details.

Mobile FAQ

Is there an official Rush Hour app?

None is known. The game is HTML5 and runs in a mobile browser. We found no app from 155.io.

Is a Rush Hour APK safe to download?

Not from an unknown site. An APK that claims to be Rush Hour is not from the provider. It can carry malware or steal account details.

Does the game use a lot of mobile data?

The game streams live video, so it uses data and needs a stable connection. We have not measured the amount.
